We wish to discuss with you certain matters concerning Eighth COOC.
The Congress is scheduled for April 3–6, 2008 and will take place in Nanjing, Jiangsu. We met with the organizer, Jiangsu Medical Association, yesterday and, in the meeting, I was assigned to contact you about attendance in the meeting by physicians from Taiwan. We will authorize you to represent us in Taiwan with full discretion and to invite as many Taiwanese ophthalmologists as possible to attend the meeting in Nanjing. We will send you some meeting notifications as soon as possible and please send them to your counterparts in Taiwan on our behalf. If more Taiwanese physicians visit Nanjing than expected, we will also arrange a special tour to Dr. Sun Yat-sen’s Mausoleum and other famous sight-seeing spots in Nanjing, such as the Confucius Temple.
