Since its establishment at the beginning of 2007, the Taiwan Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (TSCRS) has organized multiple academic exchanges and technical seminars and conferences to benefit the continued growth and development of the organization.
The current directors and supervisors of the TSCRS are continuing the legacy of their predecessors by contributing to the sessions on cataracts and refractive surgery in the Ophthalmological Society of Taiwan’s annual and mid-year meetings and the Taiwan Academy of Ophthalmology’s spring and autumn academic seminars.
We appreciate the support and encouragement from our members and prospective members. Your experience and guidance will be invaluable as we continue to fulfill our mission to promote cataract and refractive surgery educational training.
We will hold the 16th TSCRS Cataract and Refractive Surgery Forum and the First Fifth-Term General Assembly and Election of Directors and Supervisors at Conference Room 1001 of the Chang Yung-Fa Foundation International Convention Center on Sunday, January 16, 2022. According to the resolution reached in the fourth meeting of fourth-term directors and supervisors of TSCRS on Sunday, October 17 this year, TSCRS already completed the registration of new and old members and collection of membership fees by 5:00 PM on Wednesday, November 17 and the list of members was confirmed during the fifth ad-hoc meeting of directors and supervisors on December 12. The minutes from both meetings of directors and supervisors, the list of members, and the list of director and supervisor candidates have been submitted to the Cooperative and Civil Associations Preparatory Office under the Ministry of the Interior for the latter’s reference. Valid members are those who have paid the membership fees for the year before Wednesday, November 17, 2021. They will be entitled to member rights and eligible to vote/act as candidates in the election.
Fourth-term TSCRS directors and supervisors are nearing the end of their tenure and hence the first general assembly for the fifth term will be held at 12:55 to 13:30 while the election of fifth-term directors and supervisors will take place at 13:30 to 15:30, then the ballot counting process will occur at 15:30 through 17:00 that day.
